Our new parent company Sureserve is working with RoSPA to help launch the first national ‘Social Housing Falls Awareness Month’, running now.
As research finds, people living in social housing are 13 times more likely to suffer an accident, the initiative aims to shine a light on the rising risk of falls in social housing and calls on housing professionals, contractors and providers across the sector to take action.
As contractors that work in people’s homes every day, we’re backing this campaign and sharing the training in #toolboxtalks so all of our engineers are working safely and without hazard to tenants. The training helps them identify early warning signs, ensure materials are stored safely, and check residents’ surroundings.
We’re encouraging everyone to get involved in the campaign and a copy of the training from Jules Robinson, Falls Engagement Lead at RoSPA is available for everyone to view via this link: https://youtu.be/7yispbykjH0?si=jndER3cdhtDSRYOc
In the video, Jules shares expert insights into the risks of falls, effective prevention strategies, and practical steps you can take to help keep your residents safe.
