Purdy Contracts Ltd, part of the Kinovo Group, the specialist property services company that delivers compliance and sustainability solutions, is pleased to announce a series of successful framework appointments in recent months. These significant new awards build on the Kinovo Group’s current focus and reflect the brand’s ambition to be the leading UK provider of end-to-end specialist services within the housing and property sector that support customers to meet their own compliance and sustainability goals founded on the pillars of Regulation, Regeneration and Renewables.
Growing frameworks
New frameworks appointments have been in the spotlight with Purdy, part of the Kinovo Group, having been successfully appointed to a number of new contracts across the social housing refurbishment and decarbonisation sector.
The first win sees Purdy awarded under Eastern Procurement Limited’s Asset Improvement and Sustainability Framework. The framework covers a broad range of the Company’s services including voids, kitchen and bathroom installations, disabled adaptation works, electrical testing, rewiring, upgrades and repairs, as well as insulation and decarbonisation works, and has been separated into three lots. Two of the lots relate to gas servicing, maintenance and renewal services to both domestic and commercial properties for the North and South regions within the framework, and the third lot relates to heating servicing, maintenance and renewal services to electrically heated properties across both regions. This framework has a maximum estimated aggregate £156 million across a total of five contractors over a term of 4 years, and the framework can also be accessed by other public bodies.
Most recently, NHMF Frameworx has announced Purdy’s appointment to the Domestic Heating Appliances and Installations Servicing, Maintenance and Installations Framework in the East Midlands, East of England, Greater London, and Southeast regions. This follows the successful appointment earlier this year to both the Planned Maintenance Framework for all lots, covering external, internal and communal works, cyclical redecorations, Net Zero carbon works (where we ranked first) and Passive Fire safety works in the East of England, Greater London and South East regions, and the Responsive Maintenance and Void Property Works framework in East of England and Greater London.
Direct Awards
In addition to the successes under some of the UK’s leading frameworks, Purdy has received a direct award from a new customer, Broadland District Council. Funded from the HUG – Home Upgrade Grant – the business will be responsible for removing Broadland’s existing systems and supply, replacing them with Air Source Heat Pumps, High Heat Retention Storage Heaters, Solar PV and battery storage, all in accordance with the relevant retrofit regulations of PAS2030 and PAS2035. The total anticipated value of the works is £1 million over 2 years.
Greener Future Partnership
Further strengthening the business’ relationship with Hyde, Purdy has also been awarded the Chichester SHDF Energy Retrofits Phase 2 programme, through the Greener Future’s Partnership framework. This contract is worth £4.8million and includes the delivery of 200 PAS2035 standard energy surveys to pre-selected homes in the Chichester area, and the resulting retrofits using multiple measures to achieve a minimum of EPC band C (SAP 69).
David Bullen, Chief Executive Officer of Kinovo plc comments: “We are delighted to report these framework and direct award wins that the team at Purdy, part of the Kinovo Group, has worked hard to generate. The frameworks provide a considerable opportunity for the company to expand our client base and build on our strong reputation across the South East of England, covering a broad spectrum of works, particularly within our Renewables pillar.
Providing sustainable and innovative services to local authority and social housing providers, Kinovo’s expertise and legacy, combined with our appetite for growth delivered by our three specialist mechanical, electrical, building services and renewable energy service providers; Purdy, Spokemead and Dunhams, means we are perfectly placed to lead the fabric first approach to retrofit and be a one stop shop provider for every housing provider embarking on their Net Zero journey.
Net Zero by 2050 is a huge ask and represents one the biggest engineering, retrofitting, refurbishment and mobilisation challenges our sector has ever seen. Naturally through Kinovo’s green product solutions, experience and skill sets, our teams are in a strong position to help practically deliver decarbonisation works through our PAS2030 and PAS2035 renewable energy and retrofit solutions. At our heart, is a focus on safety and regulatory compliance, home and community regeneration and sustainable living through the installation of efficient and greener energy alternatives.
We are delighted that these recent awards across will help the Group continue this direction of travel, not only helping clients with the decarbonisation of their housing stock, lowering residents’ energy bills, but also supporting the UK’s contribution to mitigating the global climate crisis.”
