After being recently discharged from the hospital, a Barnet resident received a helping hand from the Purdy team to refresh her home. Following a conversation with Charmaine Carr, The Barnet Group’s Social Value Lead, Fay Poddington and Paul Halsey visited the resident to discuss how they could transform her dated living room and hallway into a warm and welcoming space once again.
Without delay, Sean Jones coordinated with our subcontractors, Vid Builders, who promptly attended within days to carry out the work. The team stripped the old wallpaper, repaired and prepared the walls, and gave the space a fresh coat of paint—breathing new life into the resident’s home.
She was delighted with her chosen colour and the final result made a huge difference. Sean reflected on the experience, sharing, “It was great to see the resident so happy. We left all spare paint with them, as the resident’s daughter was keen to complete the door frames herself—happy people all around!”
