Purdy had the pleasure of supporting Prospex Underground Youth Centre by removing old basketball backboards and replacing them with brand-new ones – designed by the young people at the centre themselves!
Fay Poddington, Social Value Manager, explains more: “We volunteered to help the Prospect Underground Youth Centre to update their basketball courts as part of our social value commitment to our long-standing customer, Hyde Housing, who we work with to deliver gas and electrical maintenance, servicing and installation works.
“The young people from Prospex Underground designed the basketball backboards themselves, and seeing their creativity come to life on the court was amazing. Alan, Senior Youth Worker, shared how something as small as this can make a huge difference to the young people who use the space.
We’ve worked with Prospex before and look forward to future social value projects with them. It’s always great to support local initiatives that empower and inspire young people!”
