Purdy have allocated specific resource to focus on the ‘Renewables’ pillar of the group strategy. As part of this the Electric Vehicle Charging division has begun educating existing clients and customers about the different EV Charging solutions that are available from them
John Lord, Managing Director at Purdy said, “Our EV Charging division has completed a few minor installs with further quotes being sent out to existing clients. We are confident that this division will deliver further successes in the near future.”
Eight ROLEC, Free to use, 7.2 kW single socket EV Charging Pedestal units were installed for an existing client, to a newly built housing development in Barnet, London. These units were installed to give all the residents the capability to charge an electric vehicle and were installed in each of their allocated parking bays.
The EV charger units were from ROLEC’s basic range, so there is no need for RFID cards or App’s, just simply plug and play. When the residents finish charging their vehicle they can simply switch off the units via rotary isolators installed within each dwelling. Car protection barriers and signage were also supplied and installed as part of the job.
The client was extremely satisfied with the fitting, especially as it was completed in 4 days which was on time and on budget. The client emailed, “Many thanks for your teams work on our project – great job and thank you!”
