We had a wonderful time this week introducing our client Peabody to The STC Group to explore STC’s practical learning setting where they deliver training to provide anyone interested in a career in construction with the tools, knowledge, and hands-on experience necessary to thrive in the working environment.
Pippa Pang met with John McLean (STC), Tracey Round-Turner (Assistant Director/ Principle of Academy – Peabody), Irena Bennet (Group Director of People – Peabody) and Darren Shanley (Head of Strategic Development – STC) to share the experience our business has had with STC Group around the work experience bootcamps they provide.
The group also witnessed first-hand the training being delivered and gained insight into the positive impact the course has had on them as they have worked through the 24-week programme in the supportive environment CTS Group provide. #buildingskills to help rehabilitation and back to work initiatives is something they excel in.
Providing this vital connection will hopefully benefit both organisations but also the wider sector, developing the link between Training Centres ➡️ Employers ➡️ Recruitment Pipeline. And it was another way of us showing our support for #ChooseHousing – the Ellie Hoult x CIH initiative to promote the housing sector as a great place to work.
It was a great day of collaboration, discussing ideas and thoughts in a proactive way to support housing providers like Peabody and contractors like Purdy, boost the recruitment pipeline of skilled operatives that the sector desperately needs.
