A few weeks ago, our Bid Manager Tracy Collins APMP represented Purdy at the Asset Management Improvement Partnership event held at the The Royal Air Force Museum in London.

The day focused on the future of procurement, with sessions on legislation, innovation, social value and digital transformation. Kieran McGaughey – Consultant Solicitor, kicked things off with some useful insights on how to run effective evaluations under the new Procurement Act. Followed by Joey Barron – Procurement and Project Manager at Echelon Consultancy, who explored the opportunities and risks of AI in procurement, with tips for applying it to day-to-day work.

In the afternoon, Mathew Baxter, CEO of Echelon Group, led a brilliant session on Social Value and Engagement, where a new Procurement Toolkit was launched by Echelon Consultancy and Tpas England, designed to strengthen tenant involvement and transparency in procurement decisions.

And of course, being at the RAF museum meant there was more to enjoy than just the conference! The lunchtime tour was a highlight, especially seeing the legendary Avro Lancaster ‘S-for-Sugar’, which flew 137 missions in WWII. A huge thank you to Echelon Consultancy for hosting such a great event!
