Purdy Contracts Ltd, part of the Kinovo Group, the specialist property services company that delivers compliance and sustainability solutions, is pleased to announce a series of new contracts in recent months. Valued at £3.8 million, these significant new awards build on Kinovo’s ongoing ambition to be the leading UK provider of end-to-end specialist services for housing. These wins will support even more housing providers to meet their own compliance and sustainability goals.
Expanding geography
The scale and scope of new long-term new contracts, secured through the Eastern Procurement Framework, have enabled the business to invest in a new specialist Retrofit Hub office in Dereham. This base allows for a sustainable approach to the delivery of services across the East of England, and is a big first step towards consolidating its geographic position in the region.
The new partnership wins include:
- Great Yarmouth Council: Asset Improvement covering voids, response and repairs
- Saffron Housing: EPCs, Reactive Repairs and Bathrooms
- Flagship Group: Repairs programme to support the DLO on Asset Improvement
- Uttlesford Norse Council: Asset Improvement covering voids, kitchens and bathrooms, and aids and adaptations. (Uttlesford will be run from our head office).
London & South East update
Growth has also been focused on Purdy’s traditional heartland, London and the South East, building on the significant workstreams already in place through the Greener Futures Partnership and Hyde Housing.
Purdy is now responsible for the Building and Safety Compliance and EICR testing for Newlon Housing via the Fusion 21 framework, and the legal disrepair works for London and Quadrant.
These wins follow closely on the back of Purdy’s recent Highly Commended award with Hyde in the Large Contractor of the Year of the South East Energy Efficiency Awards 2024.
John Lord, Purdy Managing Director comments: “The new contracts we’ve secured hold a mirror to Kinovo Group’s strategy of three pillars: Renewables, Regulation and Regeneration. We are delighted that the awards will help the Group accelerate the UK’s drive to Net Zero by 2050, by not only helping clients with the decarbonisation of their housing stock and lowering residents’ energy bills, but also supporting the UK’s contribution to mitigating the global climate crisis.
“Naturally through our green product solutions, experience and skill sets, our teams are in a strong position to help practically deliver decarbonisation works through our PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 renewable energy and retrofit solutions. At our heart, is a focus on safety and regulatory compliance, home and community regeneration and sustainable living through the installation of efficient and greener energy alternatives.
“Providing sustainable and innovative services to local authority and social housing providers, combined with an appetite for growth, means Purdy is perfectly placed to be the partner of choice for every housing provider embarking on their Net Zero journey.”
