We’re delighted to announce that the new Purdy office in Dereham, Norfolk is officially open, marked by a fantastic open house launch just before Christmas, in association with Norfolk Warm Homes. This new operation is part of our strategic plan to expand services in areas and create sustainable bases where we have secured new long-term contracts, to better look after clients and residents. We’ve invested in the new Dereham office as a result of the new direct award contracts that we’ve won through the Eastern Procurement’s Asset Improvement and Sustainability framework, including Broadlands District Council, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Saffron Housing and Norwich City Council.

John Lord, Managing Director of Purdy, comments: “The new office in Dereham is a perfect endorsement of our commitment to invest in areas and communities where we are working. The quality and quantity of these new Eastern Procurement Framework direct award contracts we’ve won, have enabled us to establish a new base and take a sustainable approach to the delivery of our Regulation, Regeneration and Renewables services across Norfolk and Suffolk. Recognising that to accelerate our organic growth and expand our core competencies, the Dereham office is a great first step in consolidating our geographic position and capitalise on underperforming contractors in the region.

“As a result, we’ll have created 13 new jobs, with 2 apprentices and will be working closely with local SMEs to invest in the economy there, as well as delivering the fantastic social value initiatives that Purdy is known for. The Dereham office will also be our specialist Retrofit Hub, dedicated to supporting and managing the decarbonisation and Net Zero programmes we’re doing across the whole of the Kinovo group. The retrofit team, including fully qualified Retrofit Assessors, Coordinators and energy performance surveyors, under the helm of Retrofit Lead, Lorraine Clayton is already up and running. We look forward to being able to offer clients and residents across Norfolk and Suffolk, both existing and new, the same levels of professional, knowledgeable and ‘local’ services currently enjoyed by customers across the South East.”

The quick turnaround (8weeks) of refurbishing the office from the team, especially Chris Boothby (Contracts Manager), Paul Halsey (Supervisor) and Alan Capon (Operational Supervisor)

On the opening event itself, Supervisor Paul Halsey commented: “A very good experience meeting everyone who attended our office opening and to have the manufacturers having their input by showing us their products.”

Alan Capon added: “Looking forward to meeting clients and building working relationships on our new ventures.”
