As a Group, we have a good percentage of women working for, and with, us across a variety of positions, including fully qualified and trainee tradespeople, and 2 of our 5 Executive Board members.

This is fantastic when compared with other companies within our sector, who have far fewer women in senior and front-line roles, which is something we should be even more proud of.

Women in this sector are viewed as part of the “under-represented” workforce because construction and build services has traditionally not been represented by women. It is high on our agenda to do all we can to promote our industry and recruit more women into our businesses, and especially into our Field Based roles.

We would like to show our support and get involved with their #EmbraceEquity campaign, by showcasing as many people from around the Group that are willing to send in a picture of themselves having a hug.

We can all play a part…

Each one of us can actively support and embrace equity within our own sphere of influence.

We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion.

Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity.

Forging gender equity isn’t limited to women solely fighting the good fight. Allies are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women.
