Health & Safety issues are of paramount importance to Purdy Contracts in everything we do. We have a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor and our systems are fully certificated under Quality Assurance and Health & Safety Standards ISO 9001:2008

Our Health & Safety Policy and Procedure’s are conveyed to our employees through - Induction, Health & Safety Awareness Training, Asbestos Awareness Training, First Aid Training, Tool Box Talks – manual handling, working at height, safe use of step-ladders, working in occupied premises and other work activity related subjects.

The company directors and managers are responsible to be aware of the Company's policy and procedure relating to their areas of work and to ensure that staff are issued with relevant documents and updates. The company’s Health and Safety Advisor ensures that policy and procedure documents are kept for easy reference within their areas of work or on site.

Our Health and Safety Advisor also distributes policy and procedure documents to the senior management and relevant staff as soon as they are adopted. Leaflets and advice relating to Health & Safety are readily available from the senior management team and also centrally from Purdy Contracts Human Resources department.

Health & Safety issues are discussed at senior level on an ongoing basis and included on all meeting agendas with the staff. Any issues that are raised to either the management team or any employee within the business is assessed immediately for its risk and appropriate action taken dependent upon the severity of the risk to ensure that potential hazards are eliminated.

Our Health & Safety Advisors inspect all projects to ensure they are all are compliant with current legislation.
